Directors

Directors Carl Turner and Cassion Castle met while studying at the Royal College of Art, London. They graduated in 1999 and established the practice in the same year.

The RCA provided a foundation for collaboration and working across platforms with an integrated approach; both partners see their approach to design and construction as an extension of their experience there as makers.

A founding project for the practice was a research post for the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre at the RCA, investigating new strategies for wayfinding for BAA plc. This three-year research project has set a precedent in designing from the inside out to achieve user-centered architecture.
