AMV BBDO Headquarters
Foyer refurbishment and street level bar for leading advertising agency
London, 2004

The advertising group Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO commissioned Turner Castle to refurbish the ground floor bar and entrance foyer of the company’s London headquarters in Marylebone.

The existing ground floor coffee lounge, which was originally an extension of the entrance foyer has been dramatically transformed into an intimate and functional space, operating as a meeting point for clients in the day and a bar during the evenings.

A long paneled wall clearly demarks the bar area from the reception and a linen curtain can be drawn in the evening to completely close off the space, absorbing noise and permitting greater intimacy. High backed benches and boothed seating have been introduced to create more intimate defensible spaces in the bar.

The scheme includes a mild steel and brass wall mounted frame system designed by Turner Castle to display the company’s current advertising campaigns.
